Casino, famous for its Beef Week, may soon be famous for another reason

Local Jodie Hamilton, Jodie Hamilton wants to claim a stake of the prize money and is one of many who have entered the Gwydir Shire Copeton Freshwater Swim on Saturday the 27th of April.

Jodie is apparently not the only contender from the town of Casino thinking of chasing the big bucks and I am sure we will hear from her fellow swimmers soon. It was a perfect morning for a swim and a group of dedicated local swimmers decided to test the Copeton Swim Course out this morning in what could be described as idyllic conditions.

Peter, Karen and young Emma Jean have all entered the Copeton Freshwater Swim and the word is they are pretty handy in the water and made of tough stuff.
