Just one week to go until the history making Gwydir Shire Copeton Freshwater Swim and if you go by the weather forecasts it’s going to be a ripper. The forecast temperature for next week is 25 degree days and Ranger Dave has informed me the water temp is 22.5 degrees and this should remain the status quo. Read more: History in Just Seven Days


Perfect weather greeted the competitors and spectators for the inaugural Gwydir Shire Copeton Freshwater Swim the, “Swim with Altitude“. Records were broken by all the participants and of course, if the event is run again next year there will be a chance for these records to be broken. Read more: Copeton Swim Swum and Won


Can you picture yourself with a cool beverage, a cheese platter, watching the sun go down and listening to an angel sing... wouldn’t life be perfect?

Well this can be you. Along with the kangaroos, native minors,chirping crickets and the calming sounds of a bush bedding down for the night you’ll hear the angelic tones of the beautiful Sally Sanderson.
