Copeton Sept 2013 313

2016

This weekends Gwydir Shires Copeton Freshwater Swim will be swum in favourable weather again this year. The latest weather report forecasts a mostly sunny day with very light winds and a temperature of 23 degrees and Ranger Dave's report from the dam of 23 degrees water temperature it will be just as pleasant in as out. Recent Easter rains have greened the grassy banks and increased the dams volume so this should mean a picturesque swim for the competitors.

Thursdays 5pm is the cut off for online entries and the committee are urging swimmers to get their entries in at www.oceanswims.com as a limited number of competitor bags have been provided and entering on the day may see you miss out on one of these special bags. With the new U/14's event entries are expected to increase for this years swim.

Don’t forget registrations for the 600m swims starts at 8.45am and the 2.5km and 5km registrations will start at 9.30am and there is lots of prize money up for grabs as well.

So get those entries in and we will see you at Copeton Dam this weekend.
